How to find a Facebook group id without findmyfbid?

It is quite simple to find a Facebook group id, most of the times ids are exposed in the

url itself, e.g. Introduction to Infographics and Data Visualization, url: https://www.facebook.com/groups/461527947222915/, group id: 461527947222915/. When you can´t see this sequence of numbers, tools like find my FB id or look-up id may help. However, sometimes even these ones are hopeless. So here  it goes a practical hint:

  1. On the main group page right click and go to ‘view page source’

2. Then search for “id:” or “profile_id” or “group_id:”

3. Finally, find the long-waited id.

  1. I don’t usually leave comments. But you’re actually a bloody genius.
Nowhere else on the internet has information on this.

  2. I concur with the other comment about this not existing on the web anywhere else (as of this comment). I even did this for searching for the group id (use “group_id”). Solid find!!
